Stefano Tucci was born in Naples on 31 May 1983 and works between Italy and France. His music sits in the space between lounge, chill-out, downtempo, lo-fi and electronica — instrumental for the most part, built around guitar, and written, as he puts it, from a feeling rather than from a genre.
His recorded catalogue begins in 2010 with two albums released in the same year, Collateral Thinking and Electronic Adventure Music Scores. Flows followed in 2014 and became his most widely heard record: its track “Disconnected from the World” has passed 140,000 streams, and the album was reissued in 2024 as a tenth anniversary remastered edition. Between 2016 and 2020 came A Fine Day to Be Born, 9 Heartbit, Here, Nowhere and Chloral, the last made with Stefano Arrigoni. Across the eleven most played tracks in the catalogue, listening passes 620,000 streams.
In Paris he formed MAST, a live looping duo with the percussionist Marco Vittoria, a percussion teacher who had played with several groups in France. The duo worked entirely by improvising on stage, building each piece in layers in front of the audience with nothing pre-recorded, and played regularly at venues including Aux Petites Gouttes, Les Cariatides and Le Cavern. Marco Vittoria died in 2021. Mast Looping Duo, released in April 2023, was assembled from the recordings the two had made together and runs to fifteen tracks, two of them live.
As a producer and arranger he has worked on MALE, a French-language project, shaping the arrangements for the EP Mutations (2021) and the album Eclore (2023). His music also reaches audiences outside the record catalogue: he composed the music for a French guided meditation video that has passed 2.8 million views.
In October 2026 he published three guitar method books in English. Playing the Modes for Six and Seven-String Guitar teaches the 21 modes of the major, melodic minor and harmonic minor scales through the chords each one produces, rather than as scales to memorise. From Reproducing to Creating on Electric Guitar is a method for intermediate players in which every note is justified by its harmonic function. Pentatonic Scales for Six and Seven-String Guitar labels every note of the five pentatonic shapes by its function against the chord underneath. All three include seven-string extensions, an area of guitar pedagogy that remains thinly covered.
